The 18v DeWalt drill is solidly built, but the batteries do not last very long. I have purchased 3 or 4 replacement battery sets, including Top Cell, but they didn't even last as long as the original DeWalts. Two DeWalt branded batteries at Home Depot cost more than a new drill ($90 each) so repalcement DeWalt batteries are just a big rip off. If you open up any 18 v battery you will find that it is just made of 15 "C" cells which are only worth a couple of bucks each. Save your money and buy a new drill with Lithium Ion batteries.
