What I was looking for on Amazon, was a Nickel/Metal Hydride battery pack for my Makita cordless drill. I've noticed that NiCad batteries in general don't necessarily have very long lives, so I planned on trying the newer NiMH type UL1219MKP1 battery pack.
Somehow, I thought that the UL1219MKP1 was a NiMH battery, but now I know that it's a NiCad. It's a good thing that it wasn't a NiMH though, because I found out that the 2.6Amp hour NiMH version of the battery pack requires a completely different, very expensive charger.
What I received was a "Golden Dragon" brand *FOR MAKITA 1220 12V 2.0Ah NI-CD* battery pack. (That label was underneath the shipping label.)
So far it's been reliable and has good power. It doesn't go dead from just sitting for a few days.Get more detail about ULTRALAST UL1219MKP1 Equivalent Battery for Makita 1222.
